Welcome to Tummy Scanner! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Tummy Scanner mobile application ("App") provided by Lucas Barnes Content ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using our App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. App Usage and Purpose

Tummy Scanner is designed to encourage children to finish their meals through a gamified food analysis experience, providing jokes, fun facts, and nutritional information for entertainment and general knowledge purposes only. Parental supervision is required for children using the App. The food analysis feature uses AI to generate educational content and is not a medical or diagnostic tool. The content provided should not be considered professional dietary or medical advice.

2. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Misuse the App or its content in any way.
• Attempt to interfere with the App's operation or security.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to extract source code from the App.
• Exploit APIs or other services provided by the App for unauthorized purposes.
• Upload or input inappropriate, offensive, or unlawful content (e.g., in the food input field).
• Use the App for any purpose other than its intended personal, non-commercial use.

3. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content (excluding user-provided food inputs but including generated jokes, facts, nutritional info snippets, design, code, branding, etc.) are the property of Tummy Scanner and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App according to these Terms.

4. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT DAMAGES OR LOSSES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP; AND
• YOU ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR USE OF THE APP AND ITS CONTENT.

5. Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. If you access the App from outside Canada, you agree that any disputes will be subject to Ontario law without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Tummy Scanner is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Data Collection

We collect the following data types when needed to operate the app:

• Account Data: Name, email address, authentication identifiers, and sign-in provider information used for account creation, login, support, and account management.
• Child Profile and Scan Data: Child profile details, food names, scan summaries, household avoids, allergies, and similar user-provided content used to provide meal scanning and personalized app functionality.
• Purchase Data: Subscription, trial, entitlement, renewal, cancellation, and refund information used to manage paid access and understand subscription performance.
• Photos: Food photos are processed when you choose to scan an image. We do not intentionally use photos as analytics event parameters.
• App Activity and Identifiers: Screen views, onboarding progress, scan flow events, paywall events, app instance identifiers, device identifiers, and advertising ID where available, used for analytics, app functionality, security, and compliance.
• Diagnostics: Crash logs, performance data, and other diagnostic data used to fix bugs, monitor app health, and improve reliability.

We use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, and Vercel Analytics to understand website visits, app screen views, store badge clicks, onboarding progress, scan flow completion, and premium feature usage. RevenueCat may receive the Firebase app instance ID so subscription events can be associated with app analytics.

We do not intentionally send food names, child names, email addresses, photos, photo paths, generated jokes, notes, allergies, household avoids, or free-text content as analytics event parameters.

How We Use Your Data

The data we collect is used solely to:

• Provide and improve app functionality
• Create, authenticate, and manage user accounts
• Store child profiles, scan history, subscription status, and app preferences
• Analyze app performance and user interactions
• Understand website-to-app funnel performance
• Fix bugs and technical issues
• Process food photos for AI analysis

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers such as Google/Firebase, Vercel, and RevenueCat to operate the app, measure performance, and manage subscriptions.

Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at tummyscanner@gmail.com.

Children's Privacy

Our app is designed for use by children with parental supervision. We comply with COPPA and other applicable privacy laws for children's data protection.
